Seminars and Workshops
We hold annual International Leaders Conference and quarterly Leader’s Seminars. Workshops for the general members and guests are held every month. These workshops especially provide Family Value Programs as Hald Day Weekend Programs for those who are available only on weekends.
Programs for Cross-cultural Families
Cross-cultural marriage couples have been significantly increased in Korean society as well as other countries. Family Peace Forum is enhancing those couples and their extended family members to learn about different cultures. This way, we believe that our program can prevent or reduce prejudice against people from different cultures. Family Peace Forum continues this campaign to the society so that people from different cultures shall be welcomed as members of the Korean society where it has been prideful of being a mono ethnicity.
Programs for Senior Members
Korea has become an aging society like most developed countries. Despite their age, they are still very active. Many members, even over the age of 80, have enough physical and mental strength to enjoy our programs. It is important to us to develop various programs for them. Family Peace Forum provides weekly meetings and programs for the senior members.
Service and Charity Programs
Since the number of North Korean defectors in South Korea have increased, Family Peace Forum has put many efforts for the reconciliation between the North Korean defectors and South Korean people. The cultural gap between them is not ignorable, and understanding them on the family unit is quite different. We invite young people from North Korean defectors’ families to experience traditional Korean family culture.
Family Peace Forum has held bazaars and fundraised in order to help senior citizens who are living alone.
We also plan to support families who are suffering due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
International Cooperation
Family Peace Forum has established sisterhood with NGOs in other countries; Philippines, Nepal, Mongolia, Columbia, Peru, and Kenya are among them.
We have also developed the Leadership Task Force (LTF), an international youth volunteer program. This one-year term program starts every September. Participants are mainly committed to overseas projects with local volunteers. College students from Korea, Japan, USA, Kenya, Columbia, Mongolia, and other nations used to join this program. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they are currently practicing alternative projects in their own nations.
