International Leaders Workshop

International Leaders Workshop is held at the Grand Hilton Hotel in Seoul, Korea for two days on December 5th and 6th, 2017. In this workshop, 120 Leaders from more than 20 countries around the world are committed to the goal and activities of Family Peace Forum. Many participants reflected that it was a wonderful opportunity, empowering them to lead the modern society that needs moral and innovative leaders. In the 21st century, we need more leaders motivated by the common ethics and value pursued by Family Peace Forum. This workshop was a very unique moment that enhanced the participants to work with Family Peace Forum. It was successful, and as a result, could build a foundation of international cooperation in several countries around the world. 

Regular Meetings for the Cross-Cultural Marriage Couples

Weekly and monthly meeting of cross-cultural marriage couples are regularly held at the Family Peace Forum meeting hall. We provide those couples with an opportunity to communicate with a more open mind among diverse cultural environment. Foreign spouses also understand Korean culture and traditions through these programs. 

Japanese Wives Met Together

Japanese wives who married Korean husbands regularly meet in the Family Peace Forum meeting room. Japanese wives shared their experience raising children to build a successful family in the Korean society that is still prejudiced against Japan. This meeting has inspired other groups as well; Filipino and Mongolian wives are also currently holding their own meetings.

Promoting Extended Family Model

We utilize weekends and holidays to promote the extended family model by inviting grandchildren to the senior programs. Nowadays, the rate of living alone has significantly increased and it causes many social problems such as ‘Godoksa’ (lonely death). FPF campaigns for the extended family model to be the best resolution of such problems.

Young People from North and South Korean Families Spent Time Together

Getting an idea from a popular TV program, young volunteers performed a “Running Man” style program with children of North Korean defectors’ families in a traditional Hanok village in September of 2019. While they performed a number of missions, they looked back on the history of Korea together when it was unified nation. They studied common history of the Korean people and visited Bukchon Hanok Village to observe the historical site. A college student reflected that he realized through this program that North and South Korea shared the same history as one nation.

Peru Volunteers Commemorated the World Environment Day

In June 2021, in commemoration of the world environment day, 51 young volunteers from Peru have committed to a bicycle plogging in the bay of Lake Titicaca, as well as other places. Plogging is a combination of jogging while picking up litter. This project was organized by CLIFF, a partner organization of Family Peace Forum since 2016. With a sponsorship from Family Peace Forum, they have carried out this activity to gain environmental awareness in society. 

Family Peace Forum Nepal Welcomed Leadership Task Force Team

Family Peace Forum Nepal welcomed the Leadership Task Force team in December 2019. Like previous years, the LTF team conducted various kinds of service projects in the countryside of Nepal.
